ZO2/The Great Comet’s Joey Cassata: The Summer Rock Calendar is NOT Looking Good
Joey Cassata is a Rock and Roll drummer from Brooklyn, NY that came up with the band ZO2. ZO2 ended up having a TV show called Z-Rock on IFC and Joey eventually was asked to join the Broadway cast of the Great Comet of 1812. Joey has played or toured with Kiss, Alice Cooper, Scorpions, Dream Theater the Stone Temple Pilots & Twisted. Joey also happens to be a long time friend of the Ethan & Lou show so we reached out to get his ideas on what if any summer concert schedule we might be able to enjoy in a COVID-19 world.
The forecast for any kind of large summer concert is not looking good and Joey's not the first music industry person to tell us that BUT there's a silver lining. All of these musicians are trapped in their homes as bored as we are. The difference is they are trapped with home recording studios and that can only mean we are in for great new original rock and roll of all kinds.
Joey's got his autobiography out now called: Start With a Dream: A Drummer's Journey from Rock & Roll to TV to Broadway available now on Amazon and wherever books are sold. Z-Rock was a really funny underrated show and if you've never seen it, what the hell are you waiting for? You have something better to do than go stream a show about hilarious and talented musicians?
