Another business in Connecticut looks like it has closed its doors for good.

I love when chains choose to open a Connecticut location. It makes me happy to see they're giving our state a chance. We definitely have a great food scene here, so I always love when new places continue to open.

Yard House Closes Norwalk, Connecticut Location

As of Tuesday, a popular sports bar with only 1 Connecticut location has officially closed its doors. Yard House in Norwalk sat at the SoNo Collection located at 100 N Water St. They opened back in April of 2021 and now as of this week, it looks like they no longer live in Connecticut.

According to the Patch, it looks like a Yard House spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday that they were permanently closed. The spokesperson went on to talk about how difficult it was to make the decision to close the location due to the impact of both employees and guests. They did follow by saying they offered everyone at the Norwalk location the opportunity to relocate to another Yard House location.

Honestly, it's hard enough to close a location. I think that was a very great move by the company to offer all of the employees a chance to go to another location. Big claps to Yard House for that. The 2 closest locations are Yonkers or West Nyack, New York.

If you've never been, Yard House is a large sports bar that has a large food and drink menu for just about anyone. They specialize in their extensive beer menu as they have over 100+ beers on tap. You can check it out here.

With one door closing, another opens. I'm curious to see what will pop up there next.

The Four Best Gyros That I've Recently Inhaled in Connecticut

Sliced, spiced lamb meat, roasted on a vertical grill, layered on a pita, slathered in Tzatziki sauce, tomatoes, and onion. A simple, traditional Greek gyro is a delicious treat. Some use lamb meat, while others use pork, beef, or even chicken. Here's the five best gyros that I've recently tried in Connecticut
