Peanut butter is an elite food. It's perfect when you need something quick and on the go. Need a snack for the kids? PB&J. Need a snack as an adult? PB&J. But actually, it's a staple all across the state.

It's hard for me to say if there's bad peanut butter, but I understand 'bad' considering what the peanut butter is made with. I go for the natural peanut butter when I grab mine from the grocery store. I like when the ingredients say peanuts only. While Skippy will forever be a staple, it's definitely not the best in the ingredient department.

247 Wall St. put out a list of the worst peanut butter brands to avoid and while I don't think you necessarily need to completely avoid them, I do agree there are definitely better options out there for you. There were 13 different brands to make that list and some of them may be your favorites. From taste and texture to nutritional value, some were considered bad but one was considered the worst.

There were a few common brands to make the list. Number 13 was Trader Joe's Salted Peanut Butter. Their reasoning for it was because of the added salt. A few other popular brands on that list include Smucker's Reduced Fat Natural Style, Skippy Natural Spread with Honey, Peter Pan, Jif Reduced Fat, Skippy Reduced Fat, Great Value and Reese's Peanut Butter.

The number one brand that was considered the worst was one I would ALWAYS want to get as a kid but my mom told me no. Now I understand why. The number one worst brand was Smucker's Goober Grape. Honestly, their packaging is great. It always looked like the best one on the shelf. It was the jar that had the peanut butter and the jelly mixed in. Even though the packaging was genius, the ingredients are not. It's loaded with sugar and ingredients that are not good for you.

I decided to take a look on the Smucker's website and see where you can buy goober grape in Connecticut. It is sold all over the entire state in Walmart, Target, Walgreens, Shoprite and BJs.

If you're ever thinking about a really good PB&J where you don't care about the nutritional value, maybe pick up some Smucker's Goober Grape. If it'll make you happy, that's all that matters.
