So much for the nice, mild weather we've been having. The winds of change will be gusting away and bringing us colder temperatures over the next day or so.

Looks like those Northwest winds will start to affect our weather later today, with some areas seeing gusts up to 30-35 miles per hour.

According to the National Weather Service, once the winds associated with a colder air mass start to blow, temperatures will start to drop, and we could see about a twenty degree difference between Wednesday afternoon and early Thursday.

So far February temperatures have been almost seven degrees above normal making this month the second warmest February on record in Connecticut.

So, yeah, it will get cold for a short time, but the mercury should rebound back to those unseasonable warmer temp's by the weekend.

Here's what you can expect around Greater Danbury over the next few days:

Today: Sunny and around 42 degrees

Tonight: Clear, getting windy, and colder with lows near 20

Tomorrow: Partly sunny with highs close to 32, but feeling much colder with the wind chill factor

Tomorrow night: Clear and very cold, temperatures in the teens with the wind chill factor  making it feel more like 5 to 10 above

Friday looks cold, but Saturday and Sunday look nice and we'll see the temperatures back in the upper-40s to around 50.
