Whole Foods Joins Bustling Shops At Stonebridge In Cheshire
Can you hear the cheers from the healthy shoppers in Cheshire? That sound is the yelps of joy as the first Whole Foods in the Greater Waterbury area opens it's doors for the first time this week.
Highland Avenue (Rt. 10) in Cheshire has gained attention over the past few years statewide because of Viron Rondo Osteria, one of the most popular Italian restaurants in Connecticut. Viron Rondo is located at 1721 Highland Ave in Cheshire, and right up the street is a brand-new shopping center known as The Shops at Stonebridge. The new Whole Foods - Cheshire is one of the anchors, and their new 42,000 square foot store is opening up Thursday, February 5 at 8AM.

The retail mix at Shops at Stonebridge is really starting to shape up nicely with Whole Foods finally opening their doors, many retailers have been open for a few weeks, including Paris Baguette, Blender Bar, Sephora, Choice Pet Supply, J. Crew, TJ Maxx, Barnes & Noble, Birdcode, Chipotle, Starbucks, and Shake Shack.
The new Whole Foods - Cheshire will feature many Made in Connecticut products, including Arethusa cheese, fruit from Pell Family Farm, Jaju pierogi, craft beer from all over Connecticut and New England, and Blue Point Oysters fresh from Long Island Sound.
