Scientists say they have actually nailed it down. Since I get bitten ALL the time I'm dying to know the answer!

For the first time, scientists discovered a possible genetic reason why some of us are mosquito magnets, at least according to a pilot study from the London School of Hygiene &Tropical Medicine. It’s published in the recent edition of PLOS ONE.

And here comes the bad newsscientists say there is a real reason for it. You can blame your parents for this one. OMG, one more thing you can obsess over while pointing the finger at mom and or dad! Begs the question of who do I blame - since I'm adopted. Sheesh!

More proof that mosquitoes really  prefer some people to others comes from Dr. Jonathan Day, a medical entomologist and mosquito expert at the University of Florida. He says there's also evidence that one blood type (O) attracts mosquitoes more than others (A or B). So, there is the parent thing again because your genes dictate your blood type and the chemical makeup of your body.

Here's my take on all of this.

First - bugs are going to bite you! Don't even get me started about how the spiders in our house manage to climb into bed and bite only me! Oh, yeah, it's because I'm SO SWEET!

Second - there are so many products on the market to protect yourself from mosquito bites that you can grin and bare it.

Third - and MOST important. After the lousy, long and miserable winter we had and the equally rotten start to spring, I say bring on the heat and the bugs that comes with it! Do you feel me?
