Viral: Suspect Mugshots Released! Danbury Kidnapping Perps Inspire Big Laughs

By now, you’ve likely heard about the kidnapping case in Danbury, CT. According to the Danbury Police Department, six men from Florida kidnapped and assaulted a couple who were house-hunting in the Hat City.

"On August 25, 2024, at 5:40 PM, Danbury Police were dispatched to the area of Clapboard Ridge Road near Dogwood Lane for a disturbance. Upon arrival a witness stated that three males exited a van, began assaulting another man, pushed him into the van, and fled.

Officers spotted the suspect vehicle on Clapboard Ridge Road, and attempted to stop it, but the driver sped away. The suspect vehicle was located a short distance away on Cowperthwaite Street. Officers found two victims inside the van, both were bound with duct tape and one had been assaulted with a baseball bat. Both were transported to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

Witnesses stated that six suspects left the Cowperthwaite Street area on foot. Patrol officers immediately began a search of the area and four of the suspects were quickly taken into custody.

Three officers suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the search and apprehensions. Further investigation led to the apprehension of the other two suspects at a short-term rental home in Roxbury.

Angel Borrero (23), Reynaldo Diaz (22), Anthony Pena (23), Josue Romero (26), Ricardo Estrada (21), and Michael Rivas (18) are facing several charges including 1st Degree Assault, 1st Degree Kidnapping, and Reckless Endangerment. Additionally, Angel Borrero will be charged with Reckless Driving, Engaging Police in Pursuit, and Evading Responsibility. His bond is set at $2,000,000. Reynaldo Diaz, Anthony Pena, Josue Romero, Ricardo Estrada, and Michael Rivas is being held on a $1,000,000 bond. All six suspects are residents of Florida.

It appears that the victims were specifically targeted but the exact motive is not known at this time. The incident is still under investigation."

Florida you say? In all seriousness, thoughts and prayers to the victims I'm sure this was terrifying. This is why we need to surgically remove Florida from the U.S.
