Urgent Missing Person Alert: Ridgefield Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating 57 Year Old Hiker

On Monday (12/04/23) Ridgefield Police issued a Missing Person alert on the Department's Facebook page that read:

"The Ridgefield Police are actively searching for a missing person in the Bennetts Farm Trail System area. We are asking the public to stay out of the area (specifically in the trails) in order to allow emergency personnel to perform their duties. Mr. Gordon went missing yesterday afternoon after leaving his residence to walk the trails."

The post had the following picture attached.

• Jack Gordon
• 57 Years Old
• 5'10", 160lbs.
• Last seen wearing grey skull cap, dark colored clothes & hiking boots

If you have any information that can lead police to locating Mr. Gordon please call 911 or contact the Ridgefield Police Department at (203) 438-6531.

Bennetts Farm Trail System is located inside Bennetts Pond State Park in Ridgefield.

All Trails says:

"Try this 4.4-mile loop trail near Ridgefield, Connecticut. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 44 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, cross-country skiing, and hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash."
