According to a press release from UCONN, Huskies fans now have a brand-new way to celebrate this latest Final Four run—and yeah, it’s as Connecticut as it gets. There’s an officially licensed UCONN bobblehead out there right now that basically captures the entire vibe of this team heading to Indianapolis.

The limited-edition piece comes from the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum and features Jonathan the Husky ready for the trip, suitcase in hand and a checkered flag like he’s about to cross a finish line. It’s got everything—race car, basketball, UCONN logos all over the place, and even a “Welcome to Indianapolis” sign built into the base. It’s a little over the top, which honestly feels right for a program that just keeps finding ways to win in dramatic fashion.

And speaking of that, this whole thing is happening because UCONN pulled off one of the wildest wins of the tournament. Down big, they stormed back and knocked off Duke in the Elite Eight on a last-second three. That shot punched their ticket to the Final Four—something this program is starting to make feel routine at this point.

Now the Huskies are heading to Lucas Oil Stadium for a showdown with Illinois, with a shot at yet another national title on the line. Under Dan Hurley, this team just doesn’t go away, and fans are fully bought in.

If you’re the type who likes collectibles, this one’s limited to just over 2,000 pieces and runs about 40 bucks. Not bad for something that might end up being tied to another championship run.

Go Huskies!

Some of the NFL’s All-Time Most Feared Tough Guys – Part 1

I’ve been watching the NFL my whole life and while the game has changed drastically in my 42+ years, but one thing remains the same, you must be a “tough guy” to make it to the league. On that level of athleticism, all the players are strong and physical but some clearly are better than others. The following are some of the players who go beyond, passing the eye test and were flat out scary on a football field.

Danbury Area Folks Share Their NFL Fandom for Playoffs

I am an Oakland/LA/Las Vegas Raiders fan, and have been since I was a kid and I'm often outnumbered in NFL conversations, but not completely alone. In the NFL, there are fans of all kinds in every city in America.

Before the Raiders losing playoff game against the Bengals last weekend, I reached out to my friends who are Raiders fans and asked them to send me a photo of them wearing a jersey or celebrating the team in some way. I had a great response and it kicked off a fun sports conversation but it was for Raiders fans only.

I wanted to give the same opportunity to all NFL fans in the Greater-Danbury area, whether their team was in the playoffs or not. I sent out the call on my radio show and on social media and these are the responses I got back.
