As I cruised by the Island House over the Labor Day weekend, my wife suggested that I write a blog about this unique property. At first, I wondered why would I write about a rundown house that sits on a small island on Candlewood Lake? The answer to my question is because I find the history of Candlewood Lake fascinating.
