Where are you planning on watching March Madness this year to root on the UConn Huskies Men's Basketball team's quest for the Triple Crown? Hartford? New Haven? Or are you going to the motherland in Eastern Connecticut?

For those of us expecting a threepeat from the UConn Men's basketball team in a few weeks, a new study has ranked "The Basketball Capital of the World" as the third best city for college basketball fans in all of the US for 2025.
WalletHub.com has just released Best Cities for College Basketball Fans 2025 in which they crunched the data from 290 cities across the US. Each city with a local college basketball team was further evaluated using nine key metrics, like the number of collegiate basketball teams per city, ticket prices, engagement of fanbase, winning percentage of the team, stadium capacity, and social media engagement. Only two of the largest cities in all of the US ranked higher than Storrs for 2025, according to WalletHub.com's data.
The #1 City for College Basketball Fans in 2025 according to WalletHub? Los Angeles, California. #2? Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. LA is home to four D! basketball teams, and also has the most D! Championship trophies, 11 in total since 1938. Philly? 6 Division 1 teams, four National Championships.
Now the good stuff - Storrs, Connecticut. #3 for 2025. Storrs has only one D1 team, yet we've taken home the Championship six times. WalletHub.com's data has also determined that Storrs is home to the most engaged fans in all of the US, and UConn has the 4th best performing team for 2025. Tournament time is when all cylanders have kicked in the past two seasons, let's hope that Hurley gets his triple.
