The feelings Eleven has, ideas Dustin comes up with and the decisions Mike makes, that is everything in my home right now, and it's also got me geeking out when I'm away from the series. I find myself forcing it into conversation and searching for Stranger Things fun-facts when I'm supposed to be paying attention to something else.

Connecticut's Stranger Things Connection:

Fansided put out a list of "Every State's 'Stranger Things' Fun Fact", and Connecticut's may be the most fan-friendly of them all. The Nutmeg State is where Gaten Matarazzo was born in 2002.  Matarazzo, who plays Dustin Henderson on the smash hit Netflix series, grew up in New Jersey but CT is where the young man's road to stardom began.

New York's Stranger Things Connection:

For those of you reading this in Putnam, Westchester and Dutchess, NY, the series also has strong ties to the Empire State. The following series actors are from New York:

  • David Harbour (Hopper)
  • Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas)
  • Cara Buono (Mrs. Wheeler)
  • Noah Schnapp (Will)
  • Paul Resier (Sam Owens)
  • Maya Hawk (Robin)
  • Gabrielle Pizzolo (Suzie)

Unnecessary Apology:

I've not finished with Season 4 yet, I'm on episode 3 right now so I don't know how the show ends. While I hope I enjoy the ending,  I won't expect an apology from anyone if I don't. While scouring for Stranger Things tidbits I learned that an apology has taken place related to Season 4.

The show's creators and writers Matt and Ross Duffer learned on Twitter that fans were furious with the duo forgetting Will's birthday. In the roller-rink scene, the camcorder shot reveals the date as March 22, 1986. Fan immediately recognized this as Will's D.O.B. but nothing registered with the writers about that date, and no mention was made of Will's birthday in the scene.

According to Hello Magazine, the two Tweeted the following:

Ross wrote "It was six years ago that I wrote that date", Matt added  "So Ross and I, and my memory's not great, but we love Will, and I don't want people to think we don't love Will because we forgot — we do! But now we mentioned Dustin's birthday this season, so we're being very careful for people not to forget, in case the timelines…"

People need to calm down.

Nerd Nuggets:

  • If I don't get the Hawkins basketball warmup jacket that Lucas has been rocking for Christmas, I may have to find a new family.
  • I want Murray Bauman AKA Brett Gelman to star in every TV show and movie going forward.
  • I figured out that Hopper is essentially John McClane from Die Hard. It's all happened over a longer timeline but the characters are the same.
  • My favorite co-worker is 71, I am 43 and my kids are teenagers, we're all watching. This is a special show.

New Milford Man’ s Chilling Texas Chainsaw Massacre Truck Seen in Monroe

This past weekend’s (6/4/22) Barnum Festival in Monroe, CT was a success by anyone’s measure. It was a place to go see classic cars of all kinds, have some food and see live music. In that sea of automobile madness was a terrifying thing. There was a vehicle with a recognizable and chilling theme, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Truck. I spoke to the truck's owner Sam Gentile from New Milford, to find out how this came together, and why.

If the Greater-Danbury Area Towns Were Christmas Movies

When this topic came up in our office, my ears perked right up. The question was simple “If Greater Danbury Towns Were Christmas movies, which would they be and why? It’s so simple and yet so complex, it made no sense and gave me a topic to argue with my friends. I was so excited about it, I wrote them down, and this is the list:

100 Diverse Danbury Eateries to Keep Your Taste Buds Busy

It's a lot to take in, Danbury has well over one hundred places to eat, these just happen to be the 100 Hat City spots that I can remember from the top of my head.

NOTE: There is a link in the description box to each businesses' menu or website.
