Sebastian Maniscalco, hailed by The New York Times as “the hottest comic in America,” is bringing his razor-sharp wit and signature storytelling to Connecticut with back-to-back shows at Mohegan Sun Arena on September 12 and 13. As the undisputed king of comedy, he’s built a career on turning everyday frustrations—rising costs, bad manners, and the madness of social media—into laugh-out-loud moments that feel all too relatable.

Now, on his It Ain’t Right tour, Maniscalco invites fans to laugh along as he points out everything that’s just a little off in today’s world. We spoke to Sebastian ahead of the big weekend of dates at Mohegan Sun, this was our favorite moment.

Lou: Your buddy Pete Correale comes on our show like every other year, great guy. You guys do an amazing podcast together. Just the other day I saw a clip from it where you were talking about people showing their disgusting feet in public — I was rolling, dude. That is the most aggressive maneuver you can pull in public.

Sebastian: "It's not only that, it's how comfortable people have become. I travel for a living, so what I see on airplanes is completely disgusting — particularly when people take off their socks and go to the bathroom barefoot on an airplane. I'm like, don't you know what's on the floor in there? People don't care. It's become, 'Come out however you want to come out.' I'm just uncomfortable that people are comfortable."

Lou: Yeah, and the same person that is doing that, takes their feet out, also has plumes of neck hair — just unruly. It's just too much, man. It's like this whole thing now, where people say, I don't care what people think of me. Well, maybe you should.

Sebastian: "I know, man. I think we gotta bring back the '50s where you went to a baseball game in a suit, you know? You see some of these old photos and all the men — yeah, they look miserable — but at least they had a hat on and a tie. And another thing that is getting on my nerves — and I don't know if this is happening in the Connecticut area — but people who wear Invisalign. That should only be done at night. I don't want to see you at noon talking to me with a mouth guard on."

Lou: How about the women that leave the salon with the toe separators still in?

Sebastian: "Ha, that is another one that bothers me. But yeah, there is an abundance of material just people-watching out there, and I've exploited that and made a living doing it."
