It may only be the middle of November, but it's that time of year when Santa starts to make his rounds.

The weather is getting cooler, the stores are already decked out for the holidays, now all that's needed is for Santa to start showing up at area malls throughout the state.

Well that's actually starting to happen in Connecticut, and believe it or not, it's starting this week.

On, Saturday, November 13, Santa makes his official arrival at the Danbury Fair Mall with a holiday celebration planned for the big guy's return.

The Danbury Fair website says they will be welcoming Santa with a big arrival party which will include music, story time, and a parade through the mall with a few of Santa's special guests.

Santa's headquarters will once again be located on the lower level, right at Center Court. A visit with Santa is always free plus photo packages are available so you can cherish those precious moments.

Since we're in the middle of a pandemic, there will be some simple protocol that families visiting Santa at the Danbury Fair Mall will have to observe.

  • Of course Santa is fully vaccinated, and so are all his helpers and elves.
  • You are allowed to remove your mask for the Santa photo, but that's totally at the discretion of Santa's guests.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available when entering or exiting Santa's Headquarters.
  • Santa's area is completely deep cleaned for the safety of the guests.
  • To avoid crowds and to reduced touch points, all of Santa's visitors are asked to text the Danbury Fair at 360.488.0880 when you arrive for your Santa visit.

Additionally, according to nbcconnecticut.com, Santa will be also be making his first appearance in the state at the Westfarms Shopping Mall in West Hartford this Friday, November 12, and that can only mean one thing, that he'll be making appearances at other Malls around the state as well.
