Report Reveals the Best Jobs in the U.S.
A new report points you in a direction for your next job.
Are you looking to change careers, or are you thinking about going back to school? Then you should know some of the best industries to work in in the United States. Glassdoor just put out a new report. The envelope please.
According to glassdoor.com and their newest, 50 Best Jobs in America, survey, more than a quarter of the best jobs in the U.S. are in the tech sector. Time to brush up on your STEM skills. You're in trouble if you don't know what that stands for.
Glassdoor.com says that 14 out of the 50 best jobs in America require skills in science, technology, engineering, and math. That, my friends, is STEM.
Four of the top five in the survey are tech jobs, including data scientist which is ranked at number one. Other high-ranking jobs are database administrator, interface designer, solutions architect, and software engineer.
Salary is often a key factor when looking for a career. The top five ranking jobs have median base salaries at over one - hundred thousand dollars. The best-paying tech job comes in at number 10 on the list but it ranks highest in pay. What is it? Solutions architect, with an average base salary of 125-thousand dollars a year.
Not all of the jobs are in the tech world. Number 50 on the list is construction project manager with a median base salary of 85 - thousand dollars. To see all 50 on the list plus information for how many positions are available and where they are located go to glassdoor.com
Sadly radio personality is not on the list. I'm not sure I can stand the idea of going back to school. Oh the hell with it, I do my job for the love of it and how much fun we always have. That ranks it at number 1 in my book.
