On Friday, July 8, 2022, Doug Wahlberg lost his battle to Stage 4 Mucinous Adenocarcinoma Cancer. He touched the lives of so many friends, and fans including I-95's Ethan and Lou Show. Rick Tedesco, one of his dearest friends, described Doug perfectly in a post on his Facebook page, which reads,

To say Doug was a close friend is an understatement. He was a once in a lifetime friend. We had entire conversations with each other with just our eyes across a crowded room from each other. I could tell him anything and he never judged me once. He was my confidant.

One of my favorite memories of Doug was when we asked him if the Doug Wahlberg Band would consider taking the stage as the house band for the "Ethan and Lou 10th Anniversary Special at the Ridgefield Playhouse on August 18, 2017, and what a magnificent time we all had!!

Every time I've seen him on stage fronting the Doug Wahlberg Band, it's almost like he's glowing. I'm sure he and Jimmy Hendrix are jammin' up in Rock n' Roll heaven. Thank you, Doug, for helping make our 10th Anniversary Special an inspiring success!
