Reflecting On 34 Years Of Radio Magic In Brookfield
I've been very lucky in my 34 year career in Connecticut radio, I've worked in Hartford, New Haven, Norwalk, and I've been in Brookfield for almost the last 20 years. Pretty soon I'll be commuting to Danbury, we're moving, and it's a good time to reflect on the good years that I've had at this location.

1004 Federal Road in Brookfield has been the home base for 95.1FM, 105.5FM, and 940AM for the last 40+ years, before that the radio stations were in the "Stone House' a little further down Federal Road, and in the next month or so, we will be moving our operations to Danbury.
We're all excited at the opportunity to have a fresh, new studio and a whole new view of the world, but I sure will miss being in this part of Brookfield. When I first started here in 2006, the Rt. 7 highway into New Milford was not even finished yet. You might remember the traffic that used to be on Federal Road from the Four Corners area of Brookfield to where the Connecticut D.O.T garage is, but oh man, it used to take us a few minutes to try to take a left out of our driveway.
The neighborhood that were in has undergone incredible change in the past 20 years too, remember the motel in between the Golden Leaf and the D.O.T garage? They're apartments now, and there are hundreds more in the Four Corners area of Brookfield. Despite the addition of hundreds of condos, we really have a quiet stretch in this location, and I'm really going to miss it.
