Matt Fraser’s Funniest Messages from the Spirit World in Connecticut
Matt Fraser is billed as America's Top Psychic Medium and he has millions of fans worldwide. Fraser recently put out a book that has become a New York Times bestseller titled "Don't Wait Until You're Dead" which was published by Simon & Schuster.
We recently got the opportunity to interview Fraser about his otherworldly abilities and beliefs. We ended up learning a lot, most notably Connecticut spirits are quite funny. Here are a few of our favorite moments from that chat.
Lou: When you do your live shows, I'm assuming you are able to relay messages from spirits to their living loved-ones. Over the years, what is the funniest message you've had to pass from the spirit world to the living?
Matt: "Oh My God! There are so many things that the spirit world does. People think that the messages are just sad but actually they are quite comical especially when you have a loved one that had a really great personality here in this world. So, it's actually funny because there is this woman that I was talking to on the other side. When I was connecting with her all I saw was that she was in lingerie in spirit. It was this woman's mother, I'm standing in front of this woman and she was crying, crying, crying because I'm talking to her death and the next thing you know I'm seeing her mother in lingerie. I didn't know what to do, I had no idea what to say to this woman because, I'm like this woman is gonna be like this guy is crazy or creepy. BUT, I have a pact with spirit, the deal is I have to say everything that I see. So, I said listen you're going to think that I'm crazy but I said your mother is here and this woman was well into her 80s and she is here showing me when I'm connecting with her that she is in lingerie. The woman started cracking up she goes oh my god! That's my mother, that's my mother, when she died she wanted to be buried in her lingerie so she still looked hot in heaven!"
Lou: What about Connecticut? Have you ever had a funny reading in the Nutmeg State?
Matt: "There was this woman I read for, it actually happened in Connecticut, I'll never forget this reading. The woman had lost her husband and she really had a hard time with this because she was fearing going to the funeral, she had a hard time going to funerals, attending wakes, attending anything like that. She was afraid that when she went to the funeral home and saw her husband in the casket, she was gonna lose it. So, what she did was, she did a personal joke, she told the undertaker I want to bury my husband in a thong and I don't want anyone to know, put it under his suit this way nobody knows. She said this way when I go there I'll laugh knowing that my husband is wearing this because he was a straight and narrow type of man here in this world. Well, don't you know that when she came to my event, he came through. Her husband never knew she was going to do this, when she came to my event her husband said did you really think that I looked good in a thong? All of the sudden you see her grief go to complete laughter. She goes oh my god I can't believe my husband knew this! That is when she told us the story, she goes nobody knew he was in a thong. She said it's actually funny when she had some moments alone with her husband she actually checked her husband's pants to make sure that the top of the thong was actually there."
