It's never fun seeing businesses close, but it also doesn't feel like it's uncommon anymore. We have been talking about so many business closures within the past year that it's pretty sad. I try to always highlight new business openings because it at least sheds some excitement on the towns around our state.

While I don't have a current business opening to talk about, I am going to talk about one that unexpectedly closed. On the Border Mexican Grille and Cantina is a restaurant that has been serving Tex-Mex specialties since 1982. Their menu serves a variety of many different food items you can want. They also have an array of margaritas, cocktails and more.

Just in the past week, On The Boarder's Orange location located at 220 Indian River Road had closed their doors suddenly. Both their Facebook page for the location says permanently closed and the location's website shows up as 'page not found'. Was there any warning? It doesn't look like it.

I started scrolling on the Orange location's Facebook page where their last post was from February 20. Many angry workers were in the comments saying their locations closed suddenly without any notice and that many people were left "high and dry". It looks like there are a bunch of closures all around the United States, but the strange thing is that there has been no word from the company itself.

On the Boarder currently has 1 more Connecticut location and it is at 1519 Silas Deane Hwy, Rocky Hill. I am curious to see if this location stays open or if it suddenly closes as well. There has been a lot of talk about many locations closing their doors, so I'm curious to see the future of the franchise.
