Police: Bethel Man Arrested for Knife Attack After Attempting to Flee
A Bethel man has been arrested after allegedly stabbing one person, and assaulting another.
According to a press release from the desk of Lieutenant Michael Libertini, Bethel police responded to a report of a stabbing last night (March 22) at around 9:35PM. When officers arrived at the scene on Elizabeth Street, a male was found with a head injury that he said was from a knife. It was also apparent that another person had been attacked.
It was then that Bethel officers located 23-year-old Michael Gleason of Bethel, who they believe is responsible for the stabbing. The report says that he initially tried to run from police, and tried to throw away what police say was a bag of weed
The stabbing victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Gleason was held on $50,000 bond, and was transported for arraignment at Danbury Superior Court.
The reason for the altercation remains unclear, but I think it might have something to do with the blue Ol' Dirty Bastard shirt that he is wearing, maybe the other two kids were not Wu-Tang affiliates.
