Lots of local restaurants have banded together with their local Chamber of Commerce to present restaurant weeks around Connecticut, but only one has the reigning Restaurant of the Year in it's Prix Fixe lineup - Litchfield.

The 2024 Connecticut Restaurant Association CRAzies award for Restaurant of the Year in Litchfield County was awarded to Materia Ristorante, which is located on Rt. 202 - Bantam Road in Bantam. Materia is just one of the participating restaurants that have been announced as participants in Litchfield Restaurant Week 2025, which is taking place at various dining establishments around Litchfield and Bantam from March 21 - 28.

Three of Litchfield's newest restaurants are also making their Restaurant Week debut for 2025. The first is The Courtroom Restaurant at the beautiful new Abner Hotel on the Litchfield Green. I've heard nothing but positivity from my friends who have been already, and even higher praise for The Verdict, the Abner's rooftop bar.

The second newcomer to the Litchfield Restaurant Week 2025 is La Catrina on Bantam Road in Bantam. My wife and I have picked up dinner from La Catrina a few times since they've opened, and I'm in love with their food. I can't stop eating servings of elote, chimichanga, tacos, or churros from this place. It's really good.

The third new entrant for 2025 is Lost Fox Inn on Litchfield Road, which looks like a cozy, hearty place for fine dining. Among the other participants are perennial "Best of" list honorees At The Corner, Sage & Salt (Formerly Saltwater Grille), The Village, Merarki, Market Place Tavern, Bohemian Pizza & Tacos, Wood's Pit, and Jackie's Restaurant.

Considering the Possibilities for Waterbury's Rep-Am Building

Got $5 million and a dream? You could be the owner of one of Connecticut's most unique landmarks: A 240 foot brick clocktower and the building it rises from. The Waterbury Republican-American Building on Meadow Street will reportedly be reimagined into residential living spaces, but I thought of a few suggestions or possibilities for the potential new owner.
