One CT Town Made the Top 20 For the Most Expensive Weed in America
CFAH just published the results of the 2023 Cannabis Global Price Index and one Connecticut town is on the expensive side of the discussion.
New Britain ranked as the 20th most expensive city in the U.S. with an average gram of cannabis costing $10.80 The city with the most expensive average gram was Washington D.C. with a price of $19.10 and the least expensive is Portland, Oregon at $7.
The international pricing is all over the place with prices varying wildly. In Japan, a gram will cost you $33.80 and the least expensive is Montreal at $5.90. Who uses the most cannabis? That distinction goes to our friends down the road in NYC. New York goes through 62.3 metric tons of cannabis each year.
Hey New Britain, pull yourself together! Do you know how obnoxious it is to live in Connecticut? The least we can ask for is the ability to get high at a reasonable cost. We have garbage weather, ridiculous taxes and over the top boredom, folks need their weeds just to get through the day.
For the record, I'm not a cannabis user, it just doesn't agree with me. I'm speaking up for my fellow man, my cannabis using friends throughout the State of CT. I personally know 81% of all cannabis consumers in the Nutmeg State and I love them. I envy their chill perspective and their ability to rise above the little annoyances of life. I wish and hope that my personal chemistry will change so I can partake and relax a bit.
P.S. If these numbers are different than what you suspected it may be because these numbers are a mix of legal and illegal sales and consumption figures.
