Nor’easter To Bring Bad Hair Days This Week

Two separate low pressure systems are developing off the coast that will bring plenty of wet and windy weather to our area for the rest of the week.

Of course with a Nor'easter the coast line will feel the brunt of it much more then those well inland, but either way we're going to see periods of rain and windy conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, a slow moving area of low pressure will result in unsettled weather through the end of the work week, with periods of rain and gusty northeast winds. Rainfall will range from a half-inch in inland western Connecticut to 1-2 inches along the shoreline.

Along with the rainfall, we'll have to deal with wind gust's from the Nor'easter between 35 and 40 mph. With the gusty winds lot's of leaves will be blown off the trees, and that could cause cause flooding on roads from clogged storm drains.

Here's the official forecast right up until the weekend:

Thursday: Rain, mainly after 9 a.m. High near 58. Breezy, with a north wind 18 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Thursday Night: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 48. Breezy, with a northeast wind 16 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Friday: Rain likely, mainly before noon. Cloudy, with a high near 60. Northeast wind around 18 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50.

Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers before 8 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64.
