According to USA TODAY, bargain hunters in Connecticut have something new to look forward to — Marshalls is opening another store in the state, this time in Winsted.

The discount retail giant will move into the Shops at Ledgebrook shopping center, taking over about 23,000 square feet of space, with plans to open sometime in late 2025.

The new location is a win for northern Litchfield County, where shoppers currently have to drive roughly 14 miles to the nearest Marshalls in Avon. The Ledgebrook plaza itself has been getting a major facelift since it was purchased last year for over $14 million, and the arrival of Marshalls is seen as another step in reviving the area’s retail scene.

With Stop & Shop already anchoring the shopping center, this new addition fills a much-needed retail gap for locals. So, whether you’re after designer brands at bargain prices or just need an excuse to browse aisles of home goods you didn’t know you needed, Marshalls Winsted is shaping up to be a solid reason to shop local.

No official opening date has been announced yet, but when it does arrive, expect plenty of Nutmeg State shoppers ready to hunt down deals the Connecticut way.

Marshall's New Decor?

We were talking about this the other day on the I-95 Morning Show, and I had a revelation that’s honestly been years in the making. If you really stop and listen to how women talk about Marshalls and TJ Maxx, it’s wild. They don’t just shop there — they feel something for those places. It’s like they’re talking about a person; someone they can’t live without. I’m genuinely worried about the mental health of the nation if Marshalls ever shuts its doors.
