New Connecticut Music Festival Announces Inaugural Lineup
Here's some very good live music news for you: Connecticut has become a mandatory stop for indie/rock/folk/jam/groove bands over the past few years, and someone has booked a bunch of them to come play at a brand-new music festival in our state this Summer, in a familiar location for most of us.

The inaugural edition of The Capitol Groove has just been announced, it's happening Saturday and Sunday June 29-20, 2024 in Hartford's Bushnell Park. A partial list of the 14 bands booked to play at the Festival has been announced, with Saturday being headlined by The Revivalists, Shakey Graves, and Trampled By Turtles, while the Sunday lineup is headlined by Dispatch, The Head and the Heart, and Guster. Rounding out the bill are Say She She, The Cap Groove All-Stars, Trevor Hall. Three artists, including a co-headliner for Saturday's lineup have yet to be announced.
Tickets are already on sale for the event, with "Early Bird" discounted prices of $189 for a two-day GA pass, and $99 single-day tickets. VIP tickets are also available for about double the price of a GA ticket, but VIP's will have an exclusive shaded viewing area, as well as air conditioned bathrooms and exclusive food options, among other luxuries.
Congrats to the promoters who secured Bushnell Park for the location, Hartford absolutely empties out on the weekends, and they already have the infrastructure in place with the hundreds of events that take place at Xfinity, XL Center, Bushnell, etc to take care of a crowd of 25,000 concertgoers.
Great lineup so far.
