Well, the closures continue.

Just yesterday, I wrote about how Walgreens was closing additional Connecticut locations. They are now closing 7 locations throughout the state from April through May. In the article, I talked about a comment made by The Mirror that they reported that 2025 will likely be a record-breaking year for store closures in the U.S.

When I first read that statement, I really hoped it wasn't true. After seeing what we went through last year, I thought it couldn't be possible. Well, only being in the beginning of April, and to continuously see stores closing, it may possibly be true. To this day, I sure hope not, but we don't know.

Back in February, I wrote about how JoAnn Fabrics filed for bankruptcy and announced they were planning to close more than 500 of their 850 stores. At the time, there were no public lists of which locations were planning to close. Now, it looks like they will officially be closing all of their locations. This includes all 10 Connecticut locations. In their customer FAQ, they talked about how the company was going out of business and all store locations would conduct going-out-of-business sales.

It looks like all stores are currently conducting sales from at least 30-60% off everything. They had to turn off their online store due to demand, and it looks like there are a lot of scammers trying to sell online as them. They had a message for buyers who are looking to get the company's last sales.

If you're looking to get the last bits of Joann Fabrics, you'll need to make your way into the stores. The 10 Connecticut locations are Brookfield, Clinton, Enfield, Hamden, Manchester, Milford, Newington, Norwich, Southington and Torrington.

I don't have an official date on when these stores are closing for good, but when I do, I will be sure to update you.

It's sad to see yet another chain closing their doors for good.
