Michael was in Danbury last night as the guest of Jimmy Galante, we'll come back to that.

Michael turned heads and gained respect as an actor in his major-film debut, playing young Tony Soprano in The Many Saints of Newark. It's interesting to see how Michael has stepped out of the shadow of his father, playing the very same role.

In a similar fashion, AJ Galante has had to battle with an overwhelming shadow from his father Jimmy. AJ has managed to do the same Michael did, stepping out of that shadow to have had success with his business Champs Boxing Club in Danbury.

Plus, there were the rumors about the Sopranos and the Galantes. People used to say the HBO series was based on Jimmy's life. I've been told that it's not true but that hasn't stopped people from sharing that story again and again.

The Sopranos became a hit, an instant classic that took its place next to mob movies like The Godfather, Goodfellas and Casino. It's bigger than a TV show, it's a part of pop-culture in America.

This picture is a bit of a mind f--- if you start to think about all of that. So, James Gandolfini's son Michael, who played his father's character Tony, is sitting with his real- life father and his fictional son who is real, if the Sopranos were real?

I'm so confused and I guess it doesn't matter, there are more important questions. What is actor Michael Gandolfini doing with Jimmy and AJ Galante? Why did they met at Dolce Restaurant & Wine Bar on Mill Plain Road in Danbury, CT?

Danbury Was the Scene of a Sit-Down Between the Galantes and Gandolfinis

What is going on here? What are Jimmy and AJ Galante, doing with Michael Gandolfini? What are they doing at Dolce in Danbury, CT? Whatever the answer it's nice to see Danbury in the forefront more and more.

This is an amazing thing, wherever Jimmy and AJ are, rumors will follow. As I've gotten to know Jimmy over the last year, I know he's made his peace with it, or he never cared to begin with. The purpose of this "sit down" will have to remain a mystery for now but feel free to spread rumors, and create your own answer.

We talked about this on the Ethan and Lou Show on Thursday (6/16/22), you can listen to that segment below.

AJ also had Danbury on the national spotlight when rapper Drake started rocking a Danbury Trashers jersey.

Below AJ tells us about what it was like growing up with people thinking he was like the Sopranos character Anthony Junior.

Inside the Premier Party for the Danbury Trashers Netflix Documentary

My name is Lou Milano, I am the co-host of the Ethan and Lou Morning Show on I-95. Recently, I attended the local premier of the Netflix film "Untold: Crime & Penalties" about the Danbury Trashers. The Trashers were a United Hockey League team that were around for a short time in the 2000' s in Western, CT but the team and ownership left a lasting impact.

The premier was open to the public and would take place inside the building where the Trashers played hockey, the Danbury Ice Arena. I decided to watch the movie at my house before going to the event. I wanted to use the time at the arena to interview the people in the film, and give an inside look into the night. This was my night out, with the cast of the film and the Trashers.
