Is Connecticut Supportive of Female Entrepreneurs? New Research Reveals Truth
Connecticut has not had a lot of success in recent business studies. The Nutmeg State has way too many taxes and regulations to give small business owners a fair shake when compared to the rest of the nation.
However, there appears to be some great news for female entrepreneurs that Connecticut can be proud of. Wix.com recently conducted a study to find the best states for female entrepreneurs in America and Connecticut landed in the Top 10.
10 Best States for Female Entrepreneurs:
10. Delaware
9. Maine
8. Colorado
7. Connecticut
6. Oregon
5. New Mexico
4. Maryland

What about our neighbors in New York? They landed at #16 on the list.
Connecticut by the Numbers adds:
Connecticut ranks as the seventh best state for female entrepreneurs, scoring a 8.34 on a scale of 10. The state boasts a notable business survival rate of 63.49% and healthy ratios of women to men in financial manager positions (1.28) and management roles (0.78). Wix.com analyzed female-to-male ratios across management occupations, top executives, and financial managers as well as business survival rates and more, to assess which states offer the most opportunities for aspiring female entrepreneurs.
Ohio ranked as the worst state for female business owners.
