The highly anticipated Avengers movie, "Infinity War" comes out April 27th. This will be the 19th movie in over a decade and this one brings everyone together at once. Co-screenwriter Stephen Mcfeely spoke to the NY Post about planning for the movie saying: “We breathed heavily into a paper bag for an hour."

They had to fit in:

  • Iron Man
  • Captain America
  • The Hulk
  • Thor
  • Spider Man
  • Black Panther
  • Doctor Strange
  • The Guardians of the Galaxy crew
  • A new villain
  • And finally a full butt load of sidekicks

That's a lot to worry about. You have all these characters to fit into one story and then figure out what pairings and configurations you need on screen. If they do it well, it will be an impressive feat. Even more impressive to me is how you pay for all these stars, coordinate their schedules to film together and feed their ego's appropriately.

This is not like "The Expendables" franchise where the actors are largely EXPENDABLE and on the tail end of their careers. This is some of the top actors and actresses in Hollywood. You have:

  • Robert Downey Jr.
  • Chris Pratt
  • Chris Evans
  • Josh Brolin
  • Chris Hemsworth
  • Scarlett Johansson
  • Benedict Cumberbatch
  • Tom Holland
  • Zoe Saldana
  • Mark Rufallo
  • Chadwick Boseman
  • Don Cheadle
  • Paul Rudd

The list goes on and on. It's already impressive the movie was made. Now if it's any good, they have really done something here.

P.S. I was a DC comic kid growing up. I was never much of a Marvel comic guy but I must say overall the Marvel movies have been better by a lot. If you look at the DC World, you have a couple old Superman movies, the Michael Keaton Batman's and the Christian Bale Batman's...that is it. Those were the only good ones. This last decade of Marvel movies has been really good.
