Connecticut Coffee Shop Highlighted as One of the Most ‘Iconic’ in the Country
One of my favorite things in the world is coffee shops. I check them out everywhere I travel to. I also try going to a bunch of different ones where I live. I will always choose a local coffee shop over those larger chains. They're cuter, they have better tasting coffee, and sometimes, they're even cheaper. Even if they weren't, I'd always rather spend the extra money for a local business.
One of my favorite things about local coffee shops is the way they are decorated. They're made to make people feel comfortable and to just relax and have a good time while sipping on their beverage. The music is always great and the vibes are what helps me choose which ones are my favorite.
I came across a list of some of the most 'iconic' coffee shops around the country from Finance Buzz and I was very happy with the Connecticut pick. They named Perkatory Coffee Roasters in Middletown as Connecticut's most iconic coffee shop. They highlighted the funky theme Perkatory has to it and how old skateboard decks are transformed into their furniture. Their coffee is all handcrafted and their are multiple different options for you to choose from.
The highlighted location in the article was their Middletown location, but Perkatory Coffee Roasters has multiple locations throughout Connecticut. They are in Middletown, Southington, West Hartford and Branford. You can get all information about them here.
I have been to the Middletown location and I have to completely agree. I loved the vibe inside and my coffee and scone were absolutely delicious. I would recommend that coffee shop to anyone in a heartbeat.
I am always looking for new, unique coffee shops around the state, so if you have any, drop them below. I will definitely take a visit.
