Ice Cream Recall Hits Connecticut and Across the U.S.

Tis the season! Who doesn't love some good ice cream in these warm months?

People are regularly buying ice cream right now (as they should) since the summer months are about to be upon us, but that makes this recall a tad bit more scary. With how common ice cream is right now, these gallons can be sitting in your freezer.

Wells Enterprises Issues Recall For 22 Ice Cream Flavors

Wells Enterprises, known for their Halo Top and Blue Bunny ice cream brands, has issued a recall for 22 flavors of their ice cream and a frozen yogurt. The recall was issued due to the possibility of plastic being in the ice cream.

The ice cream that is being recalled was sold in 3-gallon tubs and was distributed to 103 distribution centers across the U.S. The tubs in your freezer to look out for have a best buy date ranging from March 2026 to October 2026.

The recall was labeled as Class II which means consuming the product may cause "temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote" according to the FDA.

Recalls are not fun to deal with because an easily good day can turn sour. When you buy ice cream and know you'll have it sitting in your freezer, it's automatically a better day. Finding out my ice cream is being recalled? Instantly bad.
