i95’s Camping for Cans 2024 is Back: Neighbors Helping Neighbors in Greater Danbury
How are we already here? i95's Camping for Cans annual food / cash donation drive is back for another year. If you're new here, we will give you a little bit of a rundown. If you've stuck with us through the years, we're so happy you're back to help us for another great year.
Every year, team i95 comes together to broadcast live from a parking lot in the local area for the entire weekend to collect non-perishable food donations and monetary donations on behalf of Hillside Food Outreach. Hillside is a wonderful, local organization that focuses on delivering high-quality, nutritious food to low-income, chronically ill, disabled and those who can't access a traditional food pantry.
Every year, we come together with the help of the local community to raise money and collect food donations for a great cause and it would not be successful without all of you - the best listeners in the world.
Here's a little bit of information as we get things started:
Who: Team i95 and our local celebrity friends. Every year, we plan a slew of guests to come down to support the cause. We will be broadcasting live all weekend long.
What: We accept non-perishable food items, online donations, cash and checks made out to Hillside Food Outreach.
Where: The BJ's parking lot located at 106 Federal Road, Brookfield, CT.
When: Friday, November 22, Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24. We start up at 6 AM Friday and go until 1 PM Sunday.
Why: It's the perfect way to kick off the holiday season and give back to our amazing community.
Camping for Cans would not be possible without all of our amazing sponsors. A HUGE thank you to:
- Coca-Cola Northeast
- IVES Bank
- Michael's Jewelers
- Tactical Construction
- Dave's RV
- Durkin's Tent Rental
- Lesser Evil
- Mitchell Oil
- BJ's
Make sure to stop by and say hello. Ethan, Lou, Dave and Karolyi will be hanging out all weekend. It's one of our favorite weekends because we get the chance to see friends and listeners while also giving back to the community.
Crazy stuff happens all weekend long and Lou runs around taking pictures of everyone so guess what, you might even make it into an article. Here's a look at last year:
