I-95 Exclusive: Felix Cavaliere on the Lady Who Inspired ‘Good Lovin’ and More
Start your Valentine’s celebrations early with The Rascals’ ‘Good Lovin’ Valentine’s Show at the Ridgefield Playhouse on Thursday February 13, 2025. Enjoy classic hits like “Good Lovin’,” “Groovin’,” and “A Beautiful Morning” in an unforgettable night of soulful music and high-energy fun.

Before the band even heads our way, we got a chance to talk to the man behind the timeless music. Felix Cavaliere joined us on the Friday (2/6/25) edition of the I-95 Morning Show, this was our favorite moment.
Lou: When I think about certain songs, I always attach a memory to it, a person from my life. For instance, if I hear a song by the Cranberries I think of my sister Renee. These are your songs "Lonely too Long" "Beautiful Morning" that you wrote and performed thousands of times. Is there one that you connect a memory to, a person to?
Felix: "Oh, there are many of them, absolutely. You know, the love songs I wrote were basically based on this wonderful lady I met, someone I was madly in love with, who I truly believe came into my life so I could write those songs. Her name was Adrienne —Adrienne was her name."
Lou: That is amazing! So, if Adrienne wasn't born we wouldn't have these songs?
Felix: "Correct, and I truly believe that. They call them muses, M-U-S-E. I sincerely believe that this young lady came into my life; I was so madly in love I could hardly see. Then, as fate would have it, 'How Can I Be Sure' came along, and we split up."
