Horror Movie Shot in New Milford Finds Streaming Home
Candlewood, a gripping horror movie shot in New Milford, Connecticut, and its surrounding areas, has been generating a lot of buzz. Directed by New Milford native Myke "Foo" Furhman and written by fellow New Milford resident Victoria Flores, the film has been on the radar of many in the community since its inception.

The anticipation has only grown as locals have eagerly followed the film’s progress and waited for news on when and where they could finally stream it. That long-awaited update came on Monday, January 27th, 2025, when Myke Furhman himself joined us live in the studio on the I-95 Morning Show to share the exciting details.
Lou: There is some news as it relates to the Candlewood film, you want to tell us what that is?
Myke: "We have a release date! Everyone has been asking about it and requesting it. We’re coming out on March 11th of this year. On March 11th, it will be available digitally worldwide on Apple TV, Amazon Prime, and probably a couple of other platforms. It will be available for purchase and rental, so it will be everywhere. All you'll have to do is search for Candlewood, and it will pop right up. I think it will be available for pre-sale for those who want to give me their money a little sooner, which is greatly appreciated. There will also be a limited theatrical run, especially in the local area. We've talked to Bethel, Bantam, Carmel, and Bank Street. So yes, there will be a theatrical release as well, and I implore you to see it in theaters—despite your wonderful home theater setups, movies are meant to be experienced on the big screen. The theatrical release will be on March 6th."
RECAP: Candlewood comes to Apple TV+ and Amazon Prime on March 11th. You can pre-order on Apple TV+ right now. There are also four locals theaters showing the movie starting today:
- Bank Street Theater - New Milford, CT
- Greenwood Features - Bethel, CT
- Carmel Cinema - Carmel, NY
- AB Cinemas - Mount Kisco, NY
