Ace Endico Restaurant Spotlight: The Best Holiday Catering & Takeout in Danbury
Welcome to the latest edition of the Ace Endico Restaurant Spotlight, where we feature a new list of local restaurants each month to showcase some of the great eateries Connecticut has to offer. This month, we're highlighting restaurants that offer truly tasty ways to eat, drink, and be merry during the holidays — all within the comfort of your own home.
Without further ado, here are our restaurants that offer the best holiday catering and takeout:
1) Barberie's Black Angus Grill: They offer a special catering menu with 24-hours preferred notice — they even will deliver with a $100 order minimum and 20 percent delivery fee. Enjoy your favorite Barberie's steak, chicken, sliders, pasta, dessert, and more with your friends and family in the comfort of your home.
2) Aversano's: Order online off their regular menu for takeout or delivery ... and check out their catering section for party platters and catering options for groups as small as 6-8 people (and up to much larger events). They offer everything from veal meatballs and mini risotto balls to classic Italian entrees including chicken marsala and Zuppe di Pesce.
3) The Cue: As an upscale barbeque and comfort food restaurant, The Cue offers both catering on the go and full-service catering; menus for both are available upon request. They also offer ordering and delivery of their standard menu through DoorDash, GrubHub, and UberEats. We can't wait to try their version of fresh fettuccine with 10-hour braised pork butt and a rich Cabernet ragu!
4) McKinney & Doyle: Thanksgiving orders are accepted through Sunday, Nov. 19 off their pre-order menu. Outside of that, they offer online ordering with their regular menus and a traditional catering menu with just two days' notice on orders. Take a peek at their Facebook page for delicious images of some of their most popular dishes.
5) The Amber Room: This local premier caterer offers their normal catering menu for events, but watch their Facebook page for announcements on upcoming homemade holiday meal options. Thanksgiving dinner orders need to be placed by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17.
6) Del Primo Ristorante & Bar: They are happy to cater everything from office parties to at-home celebrations, and they offer special event options inside the restaurant, too. Catering orders require at least 48 hours' notice. You can order online off their regular menu, too.
