Connecticut Woman Accused of Training Teens to Shoplift
Another story that begs the question, "What the hell is wrong with people?"
You know that moment when you wish you could slap someone and ask, what were you thinking? This would be on my list.
In a story from courant.com, a Hartford woman is facing charges after police say she was caught teaching two teens how to shoplift.
Raven Simone Hardy was arrested at the Buckland Hills Mall in Manchester, CT. The account in the Hartford Courant says that police were dispatched to Macy's in the Mall after store workers chased and caught two 14-year-old shoplifting suspects and detained Hardy as a possible third suspect.
According to police, security staff for Macy's had been watching Hardy as soon as she went in the store, because she was already a suspect in a theft a few weeks before the most recent incident.
As I type this, I'm trying to find enough words of disgust, but all I keep doing is shake my head. The report goes on to say that police found out that Hardy had been banned from Buckland Hills starting back on Dec. 27, 2012. Fast forward to June of 2017 and her new arrest. You guessed it, banned for another five years.
I don't mean to be a pessimist, but my bet is that won't make a difference. My sadness is that this woman is working to ruin the lives of others. There should be a big price to pay for that.
