Gronk’s Next Chapter: Off the Field and Into the CBD Game
The guy who spent nine seasons getting knocked around on the gridiron has a new life ambition.
Former New England Patriot tight end, Rob Gronkowski recently called a 9:30 am press conference where many were hoping that he had changed his mind about retiring from football and was announcing his return to the field.
Instead, Gronk officially declared himself, "Mr. Recovery" and said he was getting into the CBD business which he claims has made him pain-free. He will be partnering with CBDMedic which introduced a new line of "all-natural, fitness-oriented recovery products.
Gronk is already pushing the NFL to switch its policy stance of not letting players use CBD oil because of its relationship to marijuana. Cannabidiol(CBD) is derived from cannabis but does not contain the drug THC which gets you high.
For the last couple of months, Gronkowski has been using CBD to help his body deal with the pounding it's taken over the last nine years on the football field and he claims "for the first time in more than a decade I am pain-free."
Football was bringing me down, and I didn't like it. I was losing that joy in life. Like, joy! I was fighting through it but I know I had to fix myself.
