Giving Back During the Holidays: Camping for Cans 2023 Kicks Off in Brookfield

I think many of us can easily get lost in the hype and stress of the holiday season.

I know if I don't take a moment to slow down, take a deep breath and appreciate what I have the entire season becomes a giant hassle. Thankfully, I have been a part of Camping for Cans for the last 16 years.

The annual food/fundraiser for the Hillside Food Outreach allows me to look at life through a different lens and see the best in people. Each year, I see people come down and quietly give what they can spare, to help strangers.

Camping for Cans 2023 is underway in the BJ's parking lot in Brookfield. As you read this, the Ethan, Lou & Large Dave Show is hunkered down in a plastic tent shouting at each other over where the headphone cords should lay. All we are missing right now is YOU!

We ask that you please come make a donation over the next three days Friday, November 17th - Sunday, November 19th.

We are going to be collecting non-perishable food donations as well as monetary donations on behalf of Hillside Food Outreach. Hillside is an amazing, local organization that focuses on delivering high-quality, nutritious food to low-income, chronically ill, disabled and those who can't access a traditional food pantry.

Not only are we excited to drum up donations and cash for Hillside but this is our chance to see you face-to-face. We love getting an opportunity to meet and talk with so many of our listeners each year.

Come out this weekend, let's make this a nuts to butts event! Bring your camera, take a picture and watch me pace around like a maniac for three days.

Who, What, When, Where 

Who: Team i95 - We also invite our local celebrity friends. This year we have big plans and a whole slew of guests. We will be broadcasting live from the parking lot all weekend long.

What: We accept non-perishable food items, online donations, cash and checks made out to Hillside Food Outreach.

Where: The BJ's parking lot located at 106 Federal Road, Brookfield, CT.

When: Friday, November 17, Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, November 19. The event starts at 6 AM on Friday and goes to Sunday at 3 PM.

Why: Because it's the least we can do to give back to an amazing community.
