Foxwoods Doubles Down With Gordon Ramsay and a New Casino
It surprises me every time when one of my neighbors or friends tell me that they've never been to either of Connecticut's World-Class casinos. There are so many other things you can do at Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun besides gambling, I truly love going to both for the excellent dining and shopping options, and Foxwoods has just announced they're opening up a couple of new options for us this month.
Recently, Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen opened up in Foxwood's Grand Pequot Tower, and the Dinner Menu features a tight selection of classic local seafood items for appetizers. What really made me say "I have to go to there' is Beef Wellington is an every day item on the menu. I've tried to make it, it's not easy. The opportunity to have this sinfully indulgent pastry-wrapped filet mignon dish, that has been perfected to Gordon Ramsay's standard, is unique.
Just over a month after Gordon came to Mashantucket, Foxwoods has just announced that they're opening a brand new 50,000 square foot casino along the Grand Pequot Concourse. The new space is called Pequot Woodlands Casino, and the new gaming space will feature 430 new slots, a 40 seat slot bar, new table games, a high-limit slot room, a new bar, and 'a few surprises'. Pequot Woodlands Casino will open up to the public in time for the 2023 Labor Day weekend, on Tuesday, August 29.
What's coming up next for Foxwoods? A brand new Wahlburgers should be opening any moment now, and get ready Connecticut - Great Wolf Lodge is coming in 2025.
