Four Connecticut Cities Make ‘Most Dangerous Cities in the USA’ List

The "Top 100 Most Dangerous Cities in the USA To Live" list was just released and Connecticut has 4 cities on it.

According to Neighborhood Scout's list, New Haven is Connecticut's most dangerous city and ranks #36 on the Top 100. The safest New Haven neighborhoods are Brightview and Forest Rd/Chapel Street.

Coming in at #45 in the "Top 100 Most Dangerous Cities in the USA" was Hartford which landed as Connecticut's 2nd most dangerous city. The two safest Hartford neighborhoods are Maple Ave/Brown St and Granby St/Nahum Drive.

Number 56 on the list went to New London, CT, making it the 3rd most dangerous city in Connecticut and pulling up the rear at #88 nationally and #4 in Connecticut was Bridgeport.

The cities were ranked based on the number of violent crimes per 1,000 residents. The Top 5 Most Dangerous Cities in the country are, 1. Camden, NJ....2. Chester, PA....3. Detroit, MI....4. Saginaw, MI....5. Oakland, CA.

The #1 safest city in the nation is Zionsville, Indiana. Its top attraction, according to Trip Advisor, is the Zionsville Farm Market.
