Exclusive: Lisa Lampanelli Makes Rare Connecticut Comedy Appearance
The Downtown Cabaret Theater Fundraiser is happening in Bridgeport on Friday, July 19th. This stand-up comedy event will feature headliner Steve Shaffer alongside acts like Melvin George, Suzanne McCormick and Billy Winn. While that would be an exciting night all by itself, another layer of anticipation was added when Lisa Lampanelli's name was attached to the evening.

While I'd love to mislead you and tell you this is Lisa's coming out of retirement performance, I can't say that because it's not true. We asked our longtime I-95 Morning Show friend to come on the radio and explain what her role is that night and we ended up more confused than when we began. Here are some highlights from our Friday (7/12/24) discussion with the retired "Queen of Mean" herself.
Lou: Lisa Lampanelli is joining us right now, she'll be at the Downtown Cabaret Theater Fundraiser on July 19th and she's going to go up and sort of do a quick ten minutes up front to, you know remember, and I still don't know what the f--- you're doing.
Lisa: "Oh my God are you allowed to curse on this show again? No, it's basically just a welcome, welcoming people. I mean here is how it actually started, the guy who runs the theater is a great guy and he said look, if you could just write an email that we could read at the beginning it would be kind of nice to show that you support the theater because I do go there a lot and have a lot of love for it from my youth. So, I said well I'm not doing anything that night do you want me to come? He was like Oh my God, I'm so excited. I said I'll just kind of do a little welcome and a few minutes up front just so we can make people know what the fundraiser is about, etc. So, I mean the lucky thing is if people show up they get to glimpse me in all my glory because I just got deflowered by Patton Oswalt."
The Patton Oswalt comment will make sense once you get to the bottom of the article
Lou: This is going to be awesome, I really want to go now to just time, it's going to be a full set I know it, it's going to be a full-hour special.
Lisa: "You're an idiot, it is not, I don't even remember what I used to do!"
Lou: I'm going to come film it and distribute it as the new Lisa Lampanelli special, I'm going to sell it to Netflix.
Lisa: "Oh my God, you know what? That would be fine with me, I wouldn't make anything anyway. I'm used to it from not getting paid from Brookfield (I-95 Morning Show appearances)."

Wait, I Buried the Lead
The absolute best moment of our chat with Lisa was when she made a revelation about a dream she just had. Lisa and Ethan were chatting about retirement when Lisa made a comment about living alone. Then, Lisa made the huge mistake of telling us she recently had a sex dream about one of America's funniest men, check this out.
