Connecticut Fashion Outlets Closer to Reality as Construction Begins
Shop, shop til you drop!
We can always use some good news about a venture actually coming to Connecticut instead of leaving. After some delays, word is that the bulldozers have started on something pretty big just outside of Hartford.
The Hartford Courant reports that the developer of the planned project called, The Outlet Shoppes at Rentschler Field, in East Hartford, has begun construction. The story says that it's a multi phase project, but the grand opening is set for Nov. of 2018.
Get ready to shop and more. Hey, if you're heading towards Hartford, or beyond, for any reason, you'll have a new place to explore. Not to mention something else to do if you head to the Rent ( Rentschler Field ) for any games or events.
The first phase of the project is slated to include 70 leading fashion outlets and additional phases will add up to 35 stores to the complex. Obviously from construction, to the final grand opening and beyond, it means jobs for Connecticut, and that's a great thing.
The developer, Horizon Group Properties, has a handful of Outlet centers around the country, some of which are still in the early stages like the one in our state.
