His name is Corey Ingram and he was one of the sailors reported missing after the USS John McCain collided with a Liberian Merchant vessel.
According to poughkeepsiejournal.com, after searching over 2,100 square miles off the coast of Singapore, search efforts have been suspended for Ingram and nine other sailors. 28 year old Information Systems Technician 2nd Class, Corey Ingram grew up in Poughkeepsie where his friends described him as easy going and was always willing to help someone in need. His high school teachers told the Poughkeepsie Journal he was a friendly productive student who had an excellent work ethic.
This is the fourth accident a U.S. warship has had at sea with two of those accidents being fatal. The Navy has since dismissed the commander of the 7th Fleet.
The collision took place as the USS John McCain was navigating a busy shipping channel preparing to make a port stop in Singapore. It collided with a 600 foot oil and chemical tanker weighing in at 30,000 tons. When President Trump was informed of the fatal collision at the White House, he said, "That's too bad."
