Dinosaurs Will Once Again Roam New Haven in 2024
Have you ever seen the ribs of a Tyrannosaurus Rex? The skull of a Triceratops? You will be able to, once again, this year in New Haven.

I love Yale's Peabody Museum, it's one of Connecticut, if not the world's, best. Here's a couple of photos that I took in 2014.
Peabody displayed some of the finest dinosaur fossils in the world, and their collection of Triceratops skulls especially blew me away.
My mom took me for the first time when I was probably 5-6 years old. Like most young boys in the 1970's I was fascinated with dinosaurs, and she wanted to show me the real ones. I'll never forget staring up at that incredible Brontosaurus, or the massive turtle. The Museum has been undergoing it's first major renovation in 90 years, and has been temporarily closed to the public since March 2020.
The long wait seems to be coming to an end, I took a ride by, and it appears that the planned early-2024 reopening of the museum is on schedule. Peabody's website has updated the project plan regularly with sneak peaks of the new exhibits currently being installed. When the project has finally been completed, over 50% more exhibition space will have been built, and a beautiful new 3-story central gallery will be unveiled. I know I've concentrated on dinosaur fossils, but I also wanted to mention that Peabody houses some of the most beautiful gems, minerals, cultural artifacts, and meteor fragments you'll ever see. I really can't wait to see what they've done.
