I’m a big fan of lists and rankings, especially those that spotlight the best of Connecticut. So, when Conde Nast Traveler recently released their list of the best towns in the state, I had to check it out.

My reaction to these lists is almost always the same, Greater-Danbury never gets any love. Our towns are loaded with beauty, excitement, great food and top-notch entertainment but we never make it into the "Top Anything."

The author said "read on for our list, which, as a numbered round-up on the internet, is subjective and limited to the writers’ immaculate (but personal) taste." I can appreciate that this list, all of these lists are about personal opinion but you'd think eventually one of these folks would stumble through our area.

Maybe they could spend a Sunday afternoon sipping wine at Aquila's Nest in Newtown? Or, they could catch a world-class night of entertainment at the Ridgefield Playhouse? Is it possible for them to take a stroll the historic Brookfield center? OR, maybe go to Danbury and eat their way through the many amazing restaurants, in one of the most diverse cities in the country!?

What are we even doing here. All that said, this list is cool and the communities they highlighted are very nice.

7 Worst Prisons in the State of Connecticut

If I was going to prison, I'd be worrying about everything. I'd want to know what I was in for and there are not a ton of resources available, I certainly would not have anyone I could ask for their experience. You need to know what danger level you're facing, what your day-to-day will consist of and what conditions are like. Most of all, you want to know if the place you're going to has a bad reputation.

My recent TV binge of 60 Days In made me want to seek answers to these questions, I needed to know. I was able to find some helpful information from The Connecticut Bail Bonds Group.
