Danbury Resident Hits Big in Lottery Winnings
I'm telling you.. every time I look at these winners, I tell myself I need to start playing. Think about it - the instant gratification of financial freedom? I'll take it. Especially with summer coming now, I would gladly stop working to hit up a few vacations, but with how expensive everything is, I would definitely need to go right back to work once my summer vacation was over.
A girl can dream, and I'll keep dreaming. Pretty regularly, I take a look through CT Lottery's winners list and see what Connecticut residents are winning throughout the month. I can't imagine how much their lives change in such a quick instance. It looks like that happened with someone from our local area just this week.

According to CT Lottery, a Danbury resident hit big with a huge winning of $2,000,000 from the $2,000,000 Mega Multiplier game. The ticket was purchased from J&R White Street Citgo right here in Danbury. Man oh man was that some good luck.
The scratch ticket costs $20 and it's a simple game where you match your numbers with the winning numbers. They also have specific symbols to receive bonus money. The game's overall odds are 1 in 3.25, but that's of course to win any sort of amount.
When you see winners stories like this, do you ever try to put yourself in their shoes for a second? It makes me sit here and wonder what I would actually do if I bought a scratch off from a local gas station and saw that I now won $2,000,000.
There is a note on the game that the top prize is either paid as a $2,000,000 20-year annuity or a one-time gross cash option of $1,500,000. I guess it all comes down to personal preference. Either way, I would just be happy with the money.
BRB. Time to go buy some scratch offs..
