Danbury's furry friends rejoice as they hear about the building of a new animal shelter!

There's some great news from the City of Danbury's FB page as it announced that City Councilman, Warren Levy has donated $300,000 to the city in honor of his late wife, Ellen so a brand new animal control shelter can be built.

Levy handed over the check to Danbury Mayor, Mark Boughton at the Danbury Animal Control Facility on Plumtrees Road which will be torn down and replaced by the brand-spankin' new animal shelter.

Danbury Police Chief, Patrick Ridenhour was on hand along with animal control employees for the presentation of Councilman Levy's generous check. He told the Mayor that this is exactly what his late wife, Ellen would have wanted. What an amazing day for the city!
