New Discovery Channel Show Shines Spotlight on Danbury Business Owner
New Reality Show in Danbury!
I was scrolling through my feed last week when I happened upon a pleasant surprise. There’s some more good news in Danbury—a new reality show highlighting a local business.

Danbury Mayor Roberto Alves took to social media to make the announcement, writing:
"Big news for Danbury! Our very own Larry Kosilla, the powerhouse behind AMMO NYC, is hitting the big time as the host of Extreme Detailing, a brand-new show premiering on Discovery August 5th at 9 PM. Proud to call Larry a friend. I’ll be tuning in, and you should too—let’s show him some hometown love!"

We asked the mayor about this during his regular weekly segment on the I-95 Morning Show. Here’s what he had to say:
Lou: You said big news for Danbury—our very own Larry Kosilla, the powerhouse behind AMMO NYC, is hitting the big time. There’s a reality show that is coming to the Hat City, huh?
Mayor: "Yeah, on the Discovery Channel—a show called Extreme Detailing. It has its premiere on the Discovery Channel on August 5th at 9 PM. This is going to be really cool, guys. He has a YouTube channel right now—you can look it up, AMMO NYC—he's got two-plus million followers. He's got hundreds of thousands on Instagram, he's all over social media, and he has a detailing shop right here in Danbury. People fly their cars in from all over the world for him to do this. But then he does other cool things like he'll find cars in garages—old cars people just want to see if they can get cleaned up. He's got an incredible following, and Larry is—personally, he's a friend and a great guy. His kid plays in the youth baseball league—that's how I know him. He's involved on the board, giving back to the community in so many ways, he's sponsored things. I think he's going to hit it big with this, and it’s right here in Danbury. You guys have to check out the YouTube channel, and the next time he has something cool in town, maybe I'll talk to him and invite you guys over to look. He's worked on some of the coolest cars, guys. The fastest car in the world—street-legal car—he had it in his shop. This thing is like a million dollars, it was incredible, and I got to go and see it. It's really incredible what he's doing right here in Danbury."
