We chat about local events, city issues and highlight city projects. As we inch closer to the fall there will be plenty of campaign discussions to have and those talks began on Thursday's show (7/20/23).

Roberto Alves was recently endorsed by the Democrats in Danbury to run against the Mayor in the fall. We asked the Mayor about the news and if there would be any Jell-o wrestling in the future for the two candidates, this was his response:

"Who? No, I'm just kidding. We do have some points of concern, Mr. Alves has been out there for quite awhile. You know he ran against me in the last election and lost. The reality is Mr. Alves is moving forward, he's making statements that contradict exactly what we're doing here. So, we're going to toss it up a little bit, it's going to be an election that will bring facts to the people. You know I'm confident here that the people see what I'm doing, getting positive things done here in the city and I feel that the facts will speak for themselves. We'll move forward as any other campaign, you know it's really just starting off for us because we focus on the job that we have here. We're managing the City of Danbury so fundraising has started and we really haven't pushed it at all yet but now I guess we have to kick it in. Fundraising is one of the worst parts about a campaign, right? But the reality is people are very generous in supporting me to be able to get my message out and let them know that we're doing the right thing by the people of the City of Danbury."

You can listen to our entire interview with the Mayor below. We also talked about city paving projects and a long list of events coming to the Hat City.

Ridgefield Playhouse Exec Shares Revealing Tales About Richards and More

The Ridgefield Playhouse and I-95 have had a longstanding and fruitful business relationship. The Playhouse, it's leadership and staff have always been welcoming to us and we like to think we've been good to them as well.

I've been doing the I-95 Morning Show for 15 years and in that time I've had so many wonderful memories in that building. We performed our Ethan and Lou 10 year Anniversary concert there, I've met countless celebrities at the Playhouse and have attended many of their shows.

Many of the top flight guests we've booked on the I-95 Morning Show have been courtesy of our association with the Playhouse. But it wasn't just the rock stars that got invited to our studio, the people behind the curtain have always been regular guests on our shows.

Jared Shahid is the new Managing Director at the Ridgefield Playhouse but not a new face to us. Ethan and I have hung with him backstage, we've had him in the studio and he and I even worked on a TV project together.

Jared is one of the best storytellers I know so we were delighted to invite him back on the show. Recently, Shahid joined us on the the I-95 Morning Show with Ethan, Lou & Dave. Whenever he comes in, he brings tickets and stories for our audience. These are some of the amazing behind the scenes tales he shared with us on Thursday (5/25/23).
