Danbury Golf Tournament to Support Veterans and Military Community
According to the Danbury War Memorial, one of their biggest and most impactful events of the year is right around the corner—and it’s a great excuse to hit the golf course for a really good cause.

The 17th Annual Golf Tournament is set for Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Richter Park Golf Course, and it’s shaping up to be a full day of golf, food, and giving back to those who served our country. The event will follow a scramble format with a shotgun start at 1:00 PM, but the day actually kicks off earlier with lunch and registration beginning at 11:00 AM.
This isn’t just about getting out on the course—it’s about supporting something much bigger. Proceeds from the tournament help fund the War Memorial’s Stand Down event, which connects veterans and members of the military community with essential resources and services. It’s one of the largest efforts of its kind in the area, and it directly benefits local heroes right here in Danbury.
If you sign up, you’re getting more than just a round of golf. Your registration includes greens fees, a cart, buffet lunch, dinner with an open bar, raffle opportunities, and even a shot at prizes for top finishers, longest drive, closest to the pin, and a hole-in-one car prize. Not a bad way to spend a Wednesday.

Pricing is set at $185 per person or $740 for a foursome, and there are also sponsorship opportunities available for businesses or anyone looking to contribute at a higher level.
Even if you’re not a golfer, you can still support the cause by making a donation to the Danbury War Memorial, which has been serving the community’s recreational, athletic, and cultural needs since 1951.
This is one of those events where you can have a great time and actually make a difference. So if you’ve been looking for an excuse to dust off the clubs, this is a pretty solid one.
